  • 4 Salmon Fillets

Hot Honey(Binder):

  • 4 Tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Chili Flakes
  • 2 tsp Hot Paprika or Cayenne
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder

 

  • 1 Pack Coconut Chips
  • 1 Fresh Pineapple
  • 2 Fresh Limes

A breezy summer twist to the classic BBQ Salmon! Turn your backyard in a surfer resort with this recipe! Extra moisture and a sweet, fruity kick is achieved while smoking on pecan wood giving the salmon the exact hint of wood that brings some good vibes!

Exotic Planked Salmon

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cut the pineapple vertically into 1.1-1.9 inch planks. Heat the honey and the spices on medium fire or even a microwave oven and dip the salmon fillets in. Make sure the honey isn’t boiling so that the fish won’t be seared.
  2. Sprinkle the fillets with coconut flakes generously on both sides.
  3. Place the fillets onto the pineapple planks and top with a couple of lime wedges or slices.
  4. Smoke with pecan wood for 45 minutes on 230F
  5. Serve straight from the edible plank!
